The ADX line for silver hasn't been this high since 2013!

The current ADX line is suggestive of a huge trend in place. And my sense is that the trend is still to the short side so I've exited the longs and will now look for re-entry opportunities

Paul are you using a trailing stop loss?

Hi Paul ... What is a trailing stop loss as distinct from a 'stop loss' Thx

Thanks for the question Sandy... Is there anybody here that would like to have a go at answering this question for Sandy?

I am in silver shorts at 14.43 and 14.09, SL = 15.0, TP = 13.76.

Watching gold with interest after a checklist score of 16 = 100% probability.  I stayed out because first I wanted to see if it broke the strong resistance zones ahead.   Positive signs:  MMentum is > 0, PSAR still hasn't flipped and MACD is still indicating long, so we'll see if the checklist failed or not over the next few days.

Are you still short silver  Alan?  I had a short position in from yesterday at 14.15 and closed it recently for a bit of a loss.  I have a SE short silver  at $14.08.

I have a current  small long position in gold taken at $1205 SL $1188. A SE short  at $1188 SL $1202 and a SE long at $1220 SL $1201.

Sandy - a standard stop loss is a set price. A trailing stop loss is a percentage or dollar amount that follows the price. An example for your recent silver short position could be a 10 cent trailing stop loss.  As price goes down the stop loss will trail it 10 cents behind.  If the price goes up the stop loss will stay where it is until it gets hit.

Hi Nathan - no I'm out. One was positive, the other negative, for a small loss overall  😎

Gold looked like it was going to head up yesterday, but I see it turned bearish eventually.

Yes... I think you're right Alan... however I've put a stop entry a little higher than usual and it wasn't taken over the past few days.

Same for Gold.

However Platinum entry was 780 and that's running well
